CS-2026 Qualifiers. A Familiar Unfamiliar Baku Stadium for the Ukraine National Team

The Republican Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov in Baku, where today the national teams of Azerbaijan and Ukraine will meet in a qualifier for the 2026 World Cup (kickoff at 7:00 PM Kyiv time), is already familiar to our national team. It was here on February 28, 2006 that the blue-and-yellow team drew 0-0 with the home side in a friendly match. However, back then the stadium had not yet undergone its reconstruction, which took place in 2011-2012.
